Hello All
I am thinking of getting the zalman reserator1-plus but i would want to cool my chipset aswell but on my board my graphics card covers the chipset.

Is there anyway to water cool these chipsets as its the noisest fan in my case and would the pump be ok?

Thanks, Sam

There are some chipset blocks that do fit under the graphics cards. But they tend to restrict a lot of water flow, so using them may resut in less colling to the CPU/GPU.

I did a quick search on google. These manufactures make chipset blocks that will fit.

Alphacool
Koolance
Aqua
Thermaltake

I dont know the details of quality there, hopefuly someone wil come along and fill in some details.

The problem with the zalman passive one is that when you cut off the fins it doesnt keep the chipset that cool, but this also depends on the CPU, I have an X2 and my chipset is rather toasty, my friend has a 3700 and his chipset aint too hot.

The passive one should be ok aslong as its put on well and have enough airflow over it without having to put a fan pointing at it which may make noise.
