Can I daisy chain another computer?

I have 2 computers and usually they are wired both into my modem via ethernet cables. I have moved the desks out of range too much for the cables to reach the computers now so have ordered 2 pci network cards as the modem is wireless also. But for the timebeing as im impatient I can make one of the computers ethernet cable reach.. hence how im online now and typing this!...but would like to know if i can put an ethernet between this computer and the other and get the other to get on the net via this one? Can this be done?

If the one your on has 2 ethernet ports then you should be able to do it but you will need a cross over cable.

A cross over cable shouldn't be needed unless the computers are realy old. For many years now all network devices have auto sensing ports as standard, and can use either straight-through or crossover.
