hi just built the new rig with specs in my signature

just purchased a bigger hardrive

i have my consoles for games , but would like to try a few of the older pc titles

far cry
hl2

would a budget 50 quid card be able to play these ?

silence is also important as is hdtv playback

i have a samsung 205bw monitor

Your bets bet would be a 2nd hand x800 based card or a 7600gs. These will play those games on high settings at a good res and should come in around the £50 mark.
