Can I find the model of a car from the Reg no?

Is there any way I can find the model from the reg no / make?

here , but it needs both numberplate and make, rather than just numberplate.

Thanks for the help guys. All of the checks which show the model had nothing listed - but I did find out that it is supposed to be a motorcycle, so probably a kit car without a model name then.

to find more info out it's better clicking on sell on ebay and selecting a car cat then it will ask you to enter a reg number, this gives you a lot more info than rac check will. For example previous owners etc

Do insurance websites not do this? Or even fone one and pretend your wanting a new quote and ask them what model it is?
