Can I get 4GB into my system?

System spec in sig.

Does anyone else have this board, and are they using 4GB ram?

I have read of people having problems using 4 sticks of ram on this board, it would be a waste to buy another set of 2GB OCZ Gold to find the motherboard doesn't like it.

Also, as far as I am aware there was never 4GB (2x 2GB) ever released in DDR1 was there?

I am only really considering 4GB because a lot of people seem to think its a minimum requirement these days if you use Vista 64 and if you play games. I would love to see if I notice any improvement with 4GB but don't see how I can get it in without changing the motherboard and cpu!

i would atleast give it a shot mate, i tried running vista 64 with 2gb and it made me cry inside.

now im on 4gb and it makes a massive difference

I had 4Gb ( 4x1Gb ) of Geil Value ( with the blue heatspreaders ) in one of those board with an X2 4200+ and SLI'd 7900GT's and it was fine

Interesting, I think I will give it a try.

It's extremely hard to find a similar set of 2GB OCZ Gold DDR1, for a decent price anyway!
