So this will be a basic build because I only play WoW but i want it in a corsair granite 380T case. So anything that will run the next WoW expansion with 0 struggles would be lovely.

Not sure if dual core is good option here.
New wow expansion will better utilise multicore cpu's and wow IS a cpu heavy game.
Maybe get an amd instead.
I'll make some changes and post in the morning.

A budget would give a better idea as I've tried to keep the price as low as possible if you only have 1 game in mind.

If you'll be doing any video or photo editing, playing other games such as Far Cry 4 (on ultra with a 4k naturally) then you'll have to increase your budget. I think £800 is reasonable though but you can drop as low as £500 if you give up the case

I would suggest avoiding a dual core and go for a quad core. Wow is very CPU dependent and there are various stories floating around that CPU utilization will be much higher in the expansion. If this is true then a dual core will be quite under powered imo (wow needs all the performance boosts it can get). You also have to consider that if the game is using the majority of both cores, other things like audio and just general stuff running in the back ground won't have much power left.

I guess it depends on what you want to do. From my experience when questing and in the open world, CPU and GPU wise not a huge amount of power is needed. Even running a 6970 with an overclock was more than fine for the game @ 1200p. I'm now running a 290x @ 1440p and the game runs great. When it comes to 25man raiding however, fps plummets. Sure the game is more than playable but I wish I could get more fps during raids. Generally during raids, GPU's not being used because of other bottlenecks.

Time will tell I guess.

What about wow streaming I dont want a powerhouse cause I'm looking to getting a msi gt72 highest end if they release it later than the 2 models that they have listed I also want to see the new nvidia gpus

If you are planning to buy gtx980 soon after release, then you have to prepare to pay around 1500 for whole rig.
Having that in mind, you might as well go for overkill and get x99 mATX or ATX motherboard and a bit bigger case. You could probably make it within 1500£.
But this is all speculation :-)
You MUST give us a budget limit :-)

I'm looking at paying 2300 for a msi dominator pro gt72 I do already have an empty nzxt 820 case because I got bored and sold on all of its internals lol. It just sits there all hopeless. But I really do like the look of the corsair carry case.

Tbh if anything it is going to be a for the time being I could opt to put parts into the case I already have and cry a little bit or sell the case which is huge and I hate sending stuff because the gt72 is what im really holding out for but I do hope it has new chipsets inside.

Well, if you are looking at mITX form factor, that leaves you with Z97 at best.

Then just use the system I linked first.
But to be honest, If I had 2.3k to spend, I wouldn't be buying a laptop.
Instead I would buy one of OCuk x99 based systems.
You can get them for just under 2k £.
But maybe it would be an overkill.

It's your call :-)
I'll post some options when I get back from work in a few hours.
