I just got my be box which provides the same internet I was getting with be but without the data cap during peak hours. i also upgraded the line and have slightly better transfer rates.

Problem is when playing world of tanks my ping is around 45. My ping with speedtest is 17 though so I don't know if this is indicative of wot servers.

In any case, I would like to find out if a better ping can be achieved from change/upgrading the router.

suggestions please..

a ping of 45 is perfectly acceptable. Not sure why you'd want to change routers on those grounds...

ok as just fishing for reason to upgrade the router - i guess there's no need to upgrade then wifi range is fine right now as well.

ping isn't realy an issue, in wot a ping of 400 is quite playable as the game does a good jon of predicting tank locations.

Is it really? I rarely game these days, but when I had entanet broadband my CS ping was usually well under 10 - usually stable at 5 , when I had to change to sky (blame the wife!) it went up to 40+ and it wasn't nearly so easy to play.
