I'm happy to pay the £30 for the BFG'ness now, i don't overclock and it's faster aswell.
Well it's the same really, it just comes pre-overclocked (well I think it does), it's exactly the same in every other way.

Might just hold off then. I might pack Pc FPS's in soon anyway.

i'm happy to spend £200 on a card that will run that res, not always on high settings, for most games.
How about looking out for a secondhand ATI x1900xt-x or x1950xt-x (512mb)...these normally go for between £80 to £110

I was considering this monitor / gfx card combination. I think that at the native res of the 2407 the GTS 640MB would be sufficient - as anyone out there running with this setup?

At that res don't get the 320 the 640 will give you more headroom, yes the 320 will play a few games at that res but it will start to struggle and when new games come out i think the gap between 320 and 640 will widen at that res.

I'd go for thr 640mb gts, you need the extra ram for the high res.

Im running same on a dell 27" monitor and its fine at 1900x1200, when I need the extra power in the future I'll buy another and SLI

Yup, GTS640 is fine at native ress and high detail for all the games ive played.

The 320 i had struggles at 30fps on cs source 1600-1200 everything maxed
my new evga 8800 gts 640mb flies at same settings 100 fps.
