Can i get my computer go out of sleep mode for FTP

Hi all,

I am planning on setting up my computer as an FTP server but don't really want it to be on all the time, Is there an application i can use to bring the computer out of sleep remotely and then put it back on sleep when finished?

Have you looked into Wake on LAN? I'm not sure exactly how you trigger it, especially over the internet but what you're talking about is the sort of thing the WoL was designed for.

WOL should work fine.

I've used it before to fire up an old PC when I needed it remotely.
