Can i get my own music to play on Forza 2?

I don't see why not, works on every 360 title I believe. (although I seem to remember Full Auto has a problem and its rubbish in Amped 3)

Sorry i meant, how do i?

Is it a case of ripping songs onto my XBOX 360 Hard drive and then using the ingame music player or the XBOX live system thingy.

Sorry i'm all new to this.

Oh I see, yes you can either stream the music from your pc (using WMP11 or something like that) or you can copy the music to your 360 hard drive (upon inserting a cd it will take you to the rip screen automatically). Once in game click on the guide button and you will see a 'select music' option near the bottom, navigate to the music you want to play and bingo. Most games it will automatically mute any in-game music but leave sound effects (engine noise and such) intact.

You can also use ipods/pen drives etc.

I don't think it will rip MP3's, the music has to be in it's original format on the disk.
You have to convert your MP3's first, then hit the guide button.

AAC is a music codec just like LAME, .m4p and .m4a are the formats itunes uses, the latter is the one that isnt restricted by drm therefore it can be played on the 360 via an update.
