I'm in the market for a moderately powerful, yet small gaming PC. I have a good idea of what components I'd going to buy, but I'd like some feedback, especially in regards of how to get this build any cheaper without compromising much.

Mobo: Some 1150 Micro-ATX £30
CPU: Intel i5-4440 £126
GPU: AMD R9 270X £146
RAM: Kingston 4GB £30
HDD: Seagate 500 GB £35
PSU: XFX 450w Bronze £35
Case: Fractal 1000 £25

Total Cost: £427

I have a few questions too.

I actually need this setup to have WiFi. Should I be looking for a board with integrated WiFi support or should I just get a PCI-E card instead?

Thanks :)

had a look, you have got it cheaper than i can find, unless anyone else has input. however i am going to advise you to spend alittle more. i would reccomend looking at 8GB ram will make your life easier. open up your budget alittle more and look at a GeForce gtx 760 you will get more bang for your buck about another £20 if you bargain hunt. if your PSU goes everything goes so dont skimp :) case is good i have used one, cant find your mobo but if it supports usb 3.0 look for the fractal 3000 case correct me if i am wrong but that has USB 3.0 support, hard drive go for atleast 1TB for another £15 worth it if using for gaming and media you will used 500GB quick, thats about it let me know how you get on. PS found the case cheaper, the website is a well know electrical supplier rhymes with Fraplin

I would stay with the R9 270X as it is the same as a 760 if not better plus on overclockers this week the Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X comes with Battlefield 4 and is only £149.99 also I would get 8GB of RAM if you can't afford it get another 4GB at a later stage.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X WindForce 3X OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with BattleField 4 PC Game Included £149.99
Total : £159.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

honestly swings and round abouts, 760 is the performance winner, very close specs, getting BF4 is good, but still wouldnt reccomend that to anyone at the moment!!! i personaly use AMD cards so i am not biased

Dont cheap out on the motherboard, it is one of the main part of any system. ppl always underestimate the extra kick you get from a good board plus to help to protect your other expensive components.

get an amd 6 core and a better board, or just a better board to go with your i5 if you have the cash
