Can I get this domain back?

Missed my renewal last time round and someone else ended up buying it.

This expired on the 11th July and they haven't renewed it.

However it's not letting me order it through any registrars? Do I have to wait a certain amount of time or something?

usually it's around a month, maybe a little more before you can be buy a dropped domain

.co.uk? I had to wait 3 months and a week to get mine.

Allowing for domain suspension, followed by Nominet attempting to get in touch with the owner and all of the other procedures.
Basically a co.uk will take either 92 or 99 days to drop from their renewal date.

Assuming .co.uk, if you want to increase your chances of securing it, there are a number of specialised dropcatching services you can use that will charge a small fee to attempt to secure it for you when it is released from suspension. If it's a good name be aware that people scan droplists and will often register anything half decent.

I just did the same thing with my own domain, missed the renewal date and it went on "suspended". A quick email to my registrar's support and it appeared in my basket on their website so I could renew it. Worth a try

Indeed, I did this and it was about 90 days. Approx 3 months.
