Can I get windows to automatically display critical errors?

Today my computer crashed twice and Windows helpfully provided no error message, so I had to go into event viewer to find a bunch of "critical" driver errors and then compare the date of the first incident to the install dates in the control panel. And remove the installed driver.

So unintuitive, god knows how an average user would fix that problem.

Is there anyway to get windows to actually warn the user about these errors, since they are considered so "critical" after all?

I don't know of any way to get Windows to do it but could you use a script that is always running to monitor the event log and pop up when a critical event occurs?
