Can i go from DAC to soundbar

i have a seperate DAC and headphones amp

can i go straight from the DAC, RCA leads to a Yamaha Soundbar ? (and miss out the amp)

it does and i tried, from my DAC (plugged to PC via USB) straight in to the soundbar

it works but cuts out every 30 seconds for a split second

just testing RCA leads straight from sound card to soundbar, that seems to work ok , not my ideal but it will do

the DAC goes to a headphone amp, which works fine
