Can I have a dual-boot XP and Vista machine with 2 hard drives?

Hi all,
I currently have 2 hard drives. 1 for programs, 1 for data.
I'm considering the possibility of Vista, purely for a bit of DX10 gaming in the near future when Bioshock & Crysis come out.
But, I have some pretty O/S sensitive music production apps loaded in XP and these are the main priority for my PC.

So, can I buy Vista and just put it on my Data drive and boot from that whenever I want to have a DX10 gaming session. Leaving my current XP setup intact.

Cheers.

yes it asks what drive you want to install it to then when its finnshed installing u get a boot menu
thats how am working at the moment 1 drive xp 1 drive vista

everything is fine with the system i use vista for normal stuff and xp for games as i don't trust vista just yet for games

just make sure u got xp installed first
and when you pop ** vista dvd into the drive make sure you put it to the non xp hdd and away you go
