Can I install W7 if I buy now?

I am buying a copy of W7 ultimate on ebay and the seller will post Monday.
But can I install it over vista and use it now or do I need to wait until the official retail release?

It seems legit.
It is the W7 ultimate signature edition.

Sounds like the free copy you get when you host a Windows 7 launch party that's signed by Steve Ballmer so it's probably legit.

I just got my copy for my launch party yesterday so who knows but I am still waiting for goodies supposedly they got 'lost'
