can i install windows 7 on my 2nd PC?

i installed windows 7 on my laptop, but im currently building a desktop..
does this mean i have to buy a fresh copy of windows 7 or can i re install it on the new PC?

depends if it's retail or oem and even if it's retail you can only have one copy installed at a time.

if its oem it is now tied to the laptop, and wont activate on another system (i think)
