We currently have the *** Competitor link removed *** TP-Link TL-PA4022PKIT Passthrough Powerline Adapter Starter Kit. My wife uses it to connect her office laptop/VOIP phone.

I currently use WiFi for my PC. We've just moved house and my PC is now a little further away from the router, i've also got VirginMedia 1GIG getting installed - i'd like to get my PC wired up if I can.

Is it possible to 'add' more powerline adapaters? I don't actually know how it would work?

Thanks

As per the manual

To join an existing secure powerline network:
1 Press the Pair button on any of the existing powerline devices for 1 second. Its Power LED should start blinking.
Note: If the Power LED does not blink, press the Pair button again
2 (Within 2 minutes) press the Pair button on another device for 1 second. Its Power LED should start blinking.
3 When the Powerline LED lights up, a powerline network has been successfully created.

oh cool! So if I buy a 1000mb version I can use that for the router and my pc, then the spare 600mb one we currently have for the wires pc/phone?

I believe power line drops to the speed of the slowest adapters in use, so even with faster versions you would still be limited to 600mbps.

This is correct. Make sure the same brand is used and check its compatible. Or get a few of the faster ones and sell the old ones on eBay.

You really need this seeing as you have no way of suitably using it, pretty sure powerline adapters all share the same bandwidth, you really need a ethernet solution.
Oh it will be! Just moved house a couple days ago so looking for the quick solution before I run Ethernet cables :)
