Electricians, help!

I've Googled this to death and found very little info. My shaver socket is currently on the opposite side of the bathroom to my sink. I want to plug a water flosser in and use it at the sink. Nowhere sells a lead that simply extends this (which is the probable answer to my question) but I can buy a shaver male and female plug plus flex from my DIY shop and build my own.

Is this acceptably safe? It will be packed away after use. Or is this an obvious no no?

Funnily enough, I have only just taken delivery of a long piece of flex and a water proof connection block. I'm going to just cut the wire and attach the other cable. I did open the unit up to see if I could just fix a new flex into it but it meant soldering connections to the solenoid (?) and I don't have a solder.

I'll post pics and tell you how I got on.
