Hi all, i've been having another go at overclocking my i7 920 D0 recently and have managed to get it up to 3.8Ghz with the following Settings.

Multi: x19
BCLK: 200
Mem Multi: x8
Uncore: x16

Vcore: 1.3375v
QPI/vtt: 1.34v
CPU pll: 1.8v
PCIE: 1.5v
QPI pll: 1.1v
IOH core: 1.1v
ich i/o: 1.5v
ICH core 1.1v

The volts seem pretty high for 3.8 and i'm hitting 83 degrees in prime which is a bit too high really. Any tips on getting it stable with a bit less vcore?

Full specs:
Gigabyte EX58-UD5
i7 920 D0
12GB Kingston HyperX 1600
GTX 680 SLI
OCZ ZX 850w PSU

all you can do is lower cpu v one or two notches and test for stability, all comes down to your cpu

ive had one do 4.2ghz with 1.23v

and a couple others needed 1.35v inc a i7 950

i'm still now able to drop the vcore much at 3.8 using 21 multi. Just means i have to under clock my ram
