Hi,

Hi I'm currently having connectivity issues with Eclipse. After an initial call to them and checking hardware on my side, they have advised they need to run checks on their side. Service status indicates "Planned Maintenance". I've noticed I'm not the only one having problems though so although they've made it out like it's a minor issue, it's seems like many users are affected with the same underlying problem at their end.

If I request a MAC code, will I be able to migrate to Zen or one of the Entanet ISPs smoothly or do I need to wait till Eclipse sort out my connection first?

Thanks in advance. :)

If the problem is within the Eclipse network then you should be able to just migrate and your new provider should not be affected.

As for a new provider, I can highly recommend ADSL24, got my parents old Nidlram connection moved onto them a few months ago and they have been very impressed with it (my Dad works from home over a VPN) and their customer service.

I've also just had Be* installed in my new flat and have been very happy so far with their service, the speed is incredible :D

Cheers mate. :)

Just had another call to them and it's basically a line test and to disconnect all equipment from phone lines. Need to rule out whether it's the line or Eclipse first. Yeah, ADSL24 was my choice from the Entanet ISPs. They provide a much better deal than Zen in terms of download allowance but my sister is with Zen and has been for 2 years and connection has been rock solid and customer service excellent. :)

Even if it does prove to be your phone line I would probably still migrate to ADSL24 as they probably will be more helpful in getting it fixed ;)

The problem with Eclipse is that they like to migrate users to Tiscali LLU without telling them, which makes getting a MAC key difficult.
