I currently have an Abit IP35 pro MB with 2 x 1GB sticks of Corsair - Twin2x2048-8500C5D RAM.

I have Vista 32 bit and am contemplating getting Windows 7 64 bit. Will adding 2x2GB sticks of this RAM be compatible with the single sticks to take system up to 6GB RAM!

Yeah it should be fine as long as they are the same speed and voltage spec.

I even know of someone who mixed OCZ Platinum 6400 DDR2 with Kingston DDR2 Hyper X 6400. Different brands but same speeds and voltage spec. His system apparently ran fine.

I'm running 2 X 2bg of OCz Platinimum 1066 and 2 x 1 Gb geil ull 800 at 1066 2.1 volts, you may need to up the NB volts a couple of steps and check with cpuz and set the memory to the lowest of the 2 set (if they are in fact any different) and check for heat, My geils need a fan the OCZ don't so a fan they have. 24/7 stable, folding, for months now :)

I've even used different speeds and it worked. 2 x 1Gb 667MHz Gskill and 2 x 1Gb 800mhz corsair. Although i've now upgraded to a proper 2 x 2Gb set up
