Can i mix CL14/16 ram modules?

I've currently 2x8gig teamgroup 8pack edition CL14 3200mhz ram in my second pc, in a tomahawk B450 Ryzen 5600X running good. But I see I can pickup another 16 gig 2x8 Corsair vengeance 3200mhz CL16. Couldi.mix this and would xmp run everything at lower stick specs? Would they work together? Says Intel xmp 2.0 on corsair by the way.

It will probably work fine at the slower settings.

XMP/EXPO probably won’t POST so you’ll likely need to manually set the timings and speeds.

Depending on the RAM chips used, that shouldn’t be an issue but it is a pain, especially if you update the BIOS and lose a days effort of memory tinkering.

Rather get 2 by 16gig modules running 3600 CL 16 than matching memory kits
