Hey,

I have 2 x 1GB OCZ DDR2 memory running in dual channel mode.
Would I be able to run another brand of memory in the other remaining channels without encountering problems?

Many thanks

You can, but the timings have to be similar if i remember correctly, i'm running 2x Corsair XMS2 with a Crucial Ballistix same voltage close timings and i've encounted no problem's as of yet.

I run two different types of memory and everything runs fine. As long as the timings are the same, or near enough the same, you shouldn't have any issues.

Though, the only reason you want similar timings is because you'll have to use the timings of the slowest stick. So you can get faster and have higher timings to match what you have.

Just in case you find some random sticks. :)

You can mix ram types, but you run the risk of getting BSOD's, but you may be 100% fine.
