Can I mix ram sizes under the following circumstances..

... without it having an effect on performance? I have a Asus Vivobook K6502 using an i7 K13700H CPU with 16 gig of ram in total. One of the sticks is unfortunately soldered to the motherboard leaving only one other slot to make the change/ improvement.
