I've spent the last five months agonising over a corrupt drive trying
everything from forensic recovery tools to witchcraft (practically)
and have finally succeeded in restoring all my lost data.
However what I need to do now is move the Picasa DB which I believe to
be intact from the original drive to my replacement drive.
My concern though, is because the number and indeed lettering of
drives I currently have will no longer match that of the original
configuration (and what i presume the picasa DB will be pointing to),
this exercise will be entirely futile.
I have many hundreds of hours of work at stake here and would give
anything to restore my Picasa database. Any pointers would be very
much appreciated!!
