Hi, im after some help regarding file transfer.

I have a laptop with windows 95 on and a PC with XP on. Is there anyway i can link the two via ethernet to transfer some data i need (business website).

Or if thats not going to work, can anyone suggest a way i can transfer around 80mb from an old laptop to a PC. I doubt it has USB2 or even a CDR writer.

Thanks for any help.
Ryan.
P.s. i dont have them infront of me, they are at a friends which i am going round later to help.

take out hdd from the laptop, fit in a 2.5" hdd caddy (usually around a tenner) Plug into usb port on pc............... jobs a good'un. IMO thats the easiest way :D

And can i put the HDD back in laptop fine ? It wont change any partition drive letter will it ?

USB to IDE connector, and a 3.5" to 2.5" harddrive adaptor - worked fine for me before.

XP will not change any of the partitions on the drive, unless you tell it to do so.

BTW, you can probably get a simple USB to 2.5" harddrive - but buying the USB to 3.5" IDE allows you to use it for either types of drive in the future.
