can i not just buy this cpu on itsself ocuk

your best bet for finding out is to go to the mobo's website and look for the cpu support list. you may need to update the bios.

AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1055T "95W Edition" 2.80GHz (Socket AM3) - OEM (HDT55TWFK6DGR) [HDT55TWFK6DGR]

its an OEM guess its on its own

I think AMD only allow these to be sold as part of complete systems. Tbh im surprised OCUK have them, although i found it odd that they were listed in the cpu section.

I dont see any information that leads me to believe you can only buy them as part of a system.

Looks like you can just buy them as is, though being OEM they dont come with a heatsink or anything like that

You need to look on the Components > Processors > Phenom II page, rather than the product details page: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=6&subid=1328&sortby=priceAsc to see the information about it only being available as part of a bundle.

It is very odd that OcUK have neglected to mention this in the product details, as if you arrive at the CPU details page via a link you will not have seen the note about it not being available.

Just buy it and see what hapens. I added one to my cart and went to checkout with no problems, though I don't want a 1055T so I didn't buy it!

Windows OEM software used to be sold under the strict instruction that it had to go with a motherboard...

amd list it as a system integrator part

you can technically buy them
but you need to purchase other hardware to go with them

give the sales team a call

i think the stock code is CP-244-AM [off the top of my head] for the 6 core cpu.
