Can I push my 955BE further?

Setup in sig. I'm running stable at 3.8GHz with 1.5375v and temperatures are comfortably under 60 on full load (Prime95 small FFTs). I heard that these chips can take up to 1.55v. If I were to push this chip further, I would probably have to go above that, so what disaster would befall me if I did?

As you might have noticed, I'm new to AMD chips having been an Intel man up until now. I've got the CPU-NB frequency at 2.4GHz with a voltage of 1.26 and HT at auto. Can I fiddle these settings to increase CPU speed without forcing more volts through it, maybe?

I would really like to be able to hit 4GHz.

dont think ive seen a 955 above 3.8 tbh..

you already over-voltaged...i think its too harsh on the chip to go further.

Improve your cooling and pump the vCore!

Get your winter jacket, scarf and hat on, open all the windows and lower the ambient temps to 5°C and see how you get on! . . . . Aim for max load of about 45°C :cool:
