Can i record audio from a dvd?

Ok i have just bought a music cd that has a dvd with it (A live performance) Can i record the audio from certan parts (Eg. different songs) If so, how?

Simple play it on you comp. and use something like Audacity to capture it to your HDD as a .wav file, then you can also use Audacity to edit it, or rip the DVD to your HDD, and use something like SUPER to remove the audio stream, then use Audacity to trim/edit it...
