Can I recover a NTFS partition after deleting it?

Was so fed up with Vista 64 last night after fighting with it for the last 2-3 weeks regarding drivers and hardware. It has been a gradual process of programs not working and last night both IE Explorer and my anti-virus software decided to chuck it in.... so I deleted the entire partition.

All good as I have XP on a seperate drive that I was using to dual boot, but I now have realised that there are outlook emails that I need access to on the vista partition. :(

Is there a way to restore the partition so I can get access?

Any advice welcome.

I did a quick format on the partition and have not copied any files onto the empty space yet. I'll have a look at Testdsisk.. thanks.

Also, do you have an idea where I'd be looking to find my outlook emails in case I cannot get the system up and running again? Is there a backup I can copy?

i think they're stored in c:\Documents and Settings\username\

probably a pst file or something, depends which outlook you're using

i can't remember where now, i just use gmail instead, having all my mail online is handy :)

Yes - That is what I found to my horror today when I logged on. I did not configure Outlook to leave a copy on the mail server... Oh how I am kicking myself now
