Can i reduce memory speed?

Bit of a noob question but can 800mhz DDR2 be underclocked to 533mhz speeds? Just that when i get my new core duo E6300 i may run at stock speeds for a while and want to run cpu FSB at 1:1 with memory

I had some adata ddr2 pc6400 ram, in the spd settings it ratings for 266mhz, 333mhz and 400mhz. This is perfectly possible and does work.

Get a DS3 and an Allendale 6300, excellent bang for buck :D
