¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Long story short, I've got an iPod touch which shows nothing but a white screen. I can still access it from iTunes however, so is it possible to control it remotely over wifi?

I wouldn't mind being able to just leave it hooked up to some speakers and use another device (iPhone?) do be able to tell it to swap songs and such... :)

One use for it would be stick it in your glovebox attached to your car stereo, if the screen's kaput
That's not a bad idea actually, I'm thinking about replacing my car radio soon and they all seem to be iPod compatible these days so I'll keep this in mind.

You can. It's an app called PodLink :) I can't remember if it needs to be running on both devices, which could be a problem if your iPod Touch is broken and only shows a white screen

This looks to be exactly what I'm after, thanks.
Never knew that, really is an app for everything :p

Just googled it and appears it needs to be on the iPod touch already

Getting the App on there won't be a problem as that can be done with iTunes... Running it may turn out to be a little more tricky however...

Well I think the touchscreen still works... it's in bits right now as I'm awaiting for a new LCD screen to arrive.

Once it's back together, I'll use iTunes to make the PodLink app one of the 4 apps at the bottom, this should make it easy enough for me to launch even with with a white screen. :)

I 'remote desktop'/VNC app would be ideal, but I don't think an App would have enough low-level access to allow this really, but it would be nice if the next iOs allowed remote access...
