Hi guys,

Looking to replace my current bog-standard 19 inch NEC monitor with this 24 inch one - ASUS VE247H 24 inch LED Widescreen Full HD 1080p

no competitor linking please!

Would I be able to switch them without any problems, or would I need to upgrade my GPU?

AMD Sapphire 6850 1GB
AMD Bulldozer 4100FX (Eurgh, I know)
8GB RAM

I can currently run FarCry3 and Bioshock Infinite on Ultra settings with decent frame rates. Would replacing the monitor effect how well these run?

Thanks in advance

please familiarise yourself with the rules, no linking or talking about competitors please.

in regards to the display, the main thing you want to consider i suppose is that you would be moving from presumably a 1280 x 1024 resolution on your existing display (?) to a 1920 x 1080 resolution on that ASUS VE247H. This will add to the demand on the graphics card of course, but thats more down to the resolution and not the monitors "fault" :) you will certainly get a nice bump in monitor size, immersion and performance with a modern gaming screen like that

you may also want to consider some of the 120Hz+ models out there such as the Asus VG248QE?
