I bought a dolce gusto coffee machine from Argos 2 days ago, but didn't realise until after having a look around after using it a couple of times that the drinks are actually all really small, the taste isn't that great either.

I have had Tassimo’s in the past and the drinks can be a lot bigger and remember tasting better, i just had it in my head the gusto was supposed to be better, but the only way i could know was to use it unfortunately.

I bought it online and had it delivered to store, not sure if their return policy is any different for online orders (i know there are different consumer rights for online orders that you have not been able to see in person)?

Or will i just have to make do as it was my mistake?
How are you supposed to know if you like them though without trying it?

Can anyone help at all?

Regards

James

They probably won't take it back. They cannot sell it again, and cannot return it to the manufacturer for a refund like they could if it was faulty. They would have to bin it and take the loss and I doubt Argos would do that tbh.

Just say it is faulty and take it to a store to return. Say the drinks dont taste great/or a bit odd like you have said.

The staff there aren't going to take it out and brew a coffee at the checkout to test it.

You'll just have to suck it up or lie like the recommendations in this thread if you're a bit scummy.

:mad::mad::mad:

But yes, I watched an episode of a podcast where they unboxed a 'returns pallet' from Amazon, you can destroy the packaging, use the product, not even clean it and they'll just accept the return. Makes me feel foolish for neatly opening everything and keeping boxes until i no longer need the product!

Argos have a habit of celotaping up boxes that have clearly been opened and trying to pass it off as brand new, I'm sure they'll take it back and try sell it again.

lol @ the dishonourable folk in this thread. A big crossover with frothing with outrage elsewhere.

About right tbh.
