Simple yes or no really..
For those who are curious as to why and want a back story read on for those who don't well... don't.
Basically went home to find my Dad complaining that his computer was too loud he just set up for work. It's one of those old computers with bespoke motherboards and power supplys.
When I go back at Xmas was going to switch it out with my old computer parts, just a Core2Quad and 7790. Due to the power supply being a 300w crappy thing that came with the computer there is no 6 pin connector, I can plug the Mobo in and 1 hard drive and thats it.
I'll just need enough power for image output. The most graphically demanding thing he will be doing is changing a font colour. Will a 7790 run ok with the 75w PCI lane with no added power input just for the sake of being able to connect the computer to a TV/Monitor?
