Still no search function :(

I've seen BF2142 cheap at my local so i'm tempted, but i was in the beta for a while and it was a bit painful at times, however i'd expect the game to be a bit more optimised this long after release.

Shuttle SN95G5
AMD 3500+
1GB OCZ
6600GT

Worth me getting? i don't mind playing in low spec as i'm not going to be upgrading anytime soon but i can't deal with masses of slowdown, its gotta run cleanly even if the graphics suck.

They say this but i rarely believe them, minimum specs are what you need to run the game, not to run it smoothly. I was hoping there's someone out there who has played with similar specs.

when i had 1 gb of ram an xp 2800 7600gs it ran fine and smooth
at 1024-768 max details i often hear about 2 gb ram to make it smooth
but that is bf2 for me 2142 is far more optimized and smoother than bf2.

Should run find on medium settings at a decent resolution.

I ran BF2142 on my old laptop which was running a dothan centrino 1.6, 1.25gb of ram and a 9700 pro mobility (9600pro desktop).

It used to play fine with medium settings on that (please note demo level only).

I figured it was cheap enough (£10) so i just went out and bought it, will install it tonight and see how it goes.

I could always upgrade the RAM but i'd rather put the £100 towards my xbox 360 fund :p if i get hooked i'll think about it, i loved BF1942 and planetside so i'm hoping its a nice mix of the two.
