Good evening everyone,

I have been looking on the website CAN I RUN IT and i would like to know what it means when it says my pc meets the minimum requirement. Does this basically mean it will run but a poor playing quality or experience and better staying away from unless you have the recommended requirements.

Thanks in advance.

I don't find that site particularly accurate personally, I've seen some very iffy results posted.

As above, what game and what are your computer specifications + monitor resolution?

I take minimum specs to typically mean that's the hardware you'll need for a 1080p, 30 FPS experience on low-ish settings.

As above, it will depend on things like the game and what you as a player consider an acceptable experience. I have a friend who's more than happy playing games at 25-30 FPS. I'd rather spoon my own eyes out...

Better to check to see if there are any YT videos on whatever GPU you have at whatever resolution you play at.

There's pretty much everything on there nowadays, that'd give you a better idea tbh.

Even then it's a coin toss as to whether the min/recommended are remotely accurate..

That's only become worse over the past few years where upscaling is silently factored into things.

I haven't used that site in years. Tell us the game and the specs, I'm sure someone here can give more accurate information.

One of my bugbears when people ask if they can run a game, is they list off the PC specs, but leave out the resolution they play at. I'd consider that part to be most important.

Even then it's a coin toss as to whether the min/recommended are remotely accurate half the time.

Don't get me started on the upscaling shenanigans... I can't stand the trend and I say that as someone running a 7900 XTX.

I tend to think of the recommended spec for a game as my target for the minimum.
Not every time, but as a general guide I find it to work well.
