Hi guys,

Found this ram on this site's deals...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-039-KS&tool=3

I don't like the 2.2v on them (seems a little high) but was wondering how well they would run at a little over 800mhz and if they could run with less volts at that speed (1.8v).

I just went win7 64bit, but my mobo (abit ip35 not pro) only takes 800mhz but is a good overclocker. Do you reckon they are compatible?

I had these before and they only run at higher than 800MHz when the voltage is at 2.2v.

If you plan using the SPD settings then it will run at 800MHz .... for 1066MHz you'll need to manually tweak your RAM settings for voltage, bus speed and timings.

I had a problem with overclocking using these sticks because they wouldn't go above 800MHz at the default timings, speed and voltages. In the end I switched them for Patriot Vipers instead. My post: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18114636

2.2v is way to high for stated speed and timings and wouldn't imagine they would last long.

I'll pass. I'll either go for better quality or wait till ram prices fall so I won't feel ripped off paying DDR3 prices for DDR2 ram.

I got 2x1 xms2 and 1x1 PNY. All 1gb modules, all running at 1.8v @ 850mhz (5-5-5-15) and even though they are mismatched, it still runs dual-channel.

1700 fsb on stock cpu voltages.

I paid £15 for that PNY stick from PC world a few months back.
PNY rocks! :D
