Hi, I have a Dell G5 5500 laptop running windows 11.

Because the power button feels a bit strange on this laptop i was looking for a way to turn in on either via being able to just press another button, i then found the bios had the option to set turning on functions and i could set them weekday / all 7 days, just weekend etc so i set some times up in there and thats been great.

I often now have different times that i want it to come on and the bios options don't give for that much customisation and i don't want to keep going in and out of the bios just to do this..

Does anyone know if this can be changed in windows anyhow, i really don't mind if i can change these bios settings within windows easily?

Or is there any other ways i can get my laptop to power on without having to press the power button?

Regards

James

Try windows task scheduler if you want it to
Turn on/off at specific times
Think that can do it
Will need to turn on wake timers too I think
Though can't you just put it to sleep/hibernate
And have it come on by opening the lid of the laptop?

My first suggestion would be to look into Wake On Lan. Should be apps for Android/iOS which would support it, but as it's a laptop i honestly don't know if it will be an option.
