Can I shut down Windows with Hauppauge Remote?

Hi guys, basically I'm wonder if the title is possible?

Some way to hack the remote code or some thing to allow me to shut windows down?

I don't know but it is really your fault for buying Hauppage. If you had bought Canon instead you wouldn't have this problem

If you can assign an application or file to a button on the remote, then you could set up a batch file which had the shutdown command in. Thats probably the only way around it that I can think of.

Otherwise, just get a cordless mouse
