Can I shut this fan up?

This is the culpret for all my noise problems





If I jam my finger in it the case is almost silent. Is this fan really nesassery? (oops spelling) can I relocate the fan to the back or will that not make it any
quieter for me?



The fan box is a bad design its touching the PSU (look )

Hey, you can either spend some money and buy a fan controller if its a 3pin header, or you can put trust in your DIY skills and read the sticky at the top of the Case Central guide (i think thats where it is) This guide shows you how you can volt mod the fan to 7v or 5v. Should be a lot quieter

As for whether you actaully need it, take a recording if your temps, and then just take the fan out and see if the temps are any different.. If they are then the fan is needed.

Third option is you could always buy a replacement fan that would be a lot quieter

Ok I'll probably go for a replacement fan or two, two would be quieter than this beast, I'll maybe put one on the intake

and the side panel an exhaust though it will probably be blowing in my face
