can i sli that card with this one

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-107-GW&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1324

which is a single pcb card or do i need the same card

Basically the "new" card is exactly the same with only difference being 1 PCB rather than 2. Its the same right down to performance between a 1PCB version and a 2 PCB version of the same card. All 1BCP brings is cheaper manufacturing and therefore lower prices. I would assume you can SLI without any problems.

I hope your planning on watercooling these?

As other wise things are going to get very toasty

Also what on earth do u need 2x295s for :P

why 2??? maxedout HD gaming on extream resolutions Dell Ultrasharp 24 Widescreen LCD Monitor... na im not watercooling the onlything thats gonna be water cooled is my CPU running at 4.2ghz im sure they wont get too hot as long as they dont top 89oc full load its ok...

1900x1200 isnt really extreme resolution, and would not likely see a £342 worth of improvement in eye candy/fps over ur single 295!!! Also u'd be mad to spend that sort of money now with new ATI cards being released in a few weeks, at least not until u see comparisons against GTX 295 and the corresponding price drops

i have seen what the single 295 can do i have 2 monitors one i game on the other i watch HD movies a NEC MultiSync 52inch.... i ran a test... on crysis warhead on enthusiast setting with 4xaa at a resolution of only 1600x1200 the game plays at 30 35fps very rarely drops it to about 28fps.... thats on my mates crappy monitor... beyond these resolutions the card has reached its limit i personally think on crysis warhead that is.... i always like keeping above the 60fps mark...

The lack of VRAM makes 2x of these not as useful as they could be... you only really need a single 295GTX if your playing at 2048x or higher resolutions, except at 2560x or higher but you'd be better off there with tri-SLI 285GTX.

i was checking on the net and those setting as i mentioned above a 295GTX should be churning better fps at those settings hmmm... could it be a poorly built card???

Waste of money getting another 295 just for Crysis, its a poorly optimized game, you could have 12x of em (so 24x GPU's), and it still wouldn't keep 60.

Well yeah because you can only use 4 GPUs max in SLi currenty. :D

Still a waste of monies though.
