Can I swap my PSU without swapping the cables?

My 1 year old Cosair RM850i (fully modular) PSU has developed some pretty loud coil whine so I was wondering If I can just replace the PSU itself without having to change all my cables?

If so can I even swap to a different brand?

I'm no PSU expert but I was thinking about something like one of these:

All I want is something fully modular that has a quiet fan most of the time as the rest of my PC is super quiet and something that's less likely to have or develop coil whine any time soon. Aesthetics don't matter too much but as the case I have has a PSU shroud but it does have to be black, preferably matte black.

Coil whine can also come for example from VRM of CPU or GPU and possibly even some combinations of components could together have it.
So might be first good to see what things affect it.
Like does changing CPU clocks change it and same for GPU.
Also stressing either CPU or only GPU could tell something.

It's deffo the PSU when under load. I'll just buy a new PSU and I'll just have to switch out the cables too when I install it, not too much of an issue.
