I've previously been using MyPhoneExplorer to sync my work (Outlook 2010) calendar with (I think) my "local"? calendar on my phone but it's not ideal because whenever I do a manual sync (via USB) I get lots of duplications, specifically with national holidays!?!?

Anyway, I recently got our IT guru to set up access for me to sync my calendar via our Microsoft Exchange account and it's been working seamlessly! :D

The problem is, the wifi access to the exchange account at work is being withdrawn due to some new security directive and I was wondering if there was any way to continue using the exchange server to sync the calendar but connect via a USB cable???

Sorry if this all sounds like rambling but I'm not really up on exchange servers and such!

Thanks....

Sounds like your IT guru has set the outlook server up as the local server name?

In the server address does he have the server name or an address ie. outlook.companyname.com etc, etc?

This being said the wifi access meaning your losing wifi in the work area?

PS what phone is it mate?

I think the server address is a 192.1.68.something.something!?!?

It's not the wifi access that's being withdrawn, it's wifi access to the exchange server! (something to do with our system processing credit card payments!?!?)

Obviously the PC's that are wired in still work!

My phone is an Xperia T and I use Jorte as my calendar if that's relevant??

Is the xperia T android?
if so you can simply disable national holidays in 'calendars to be synced' in calendar settings.

Yeah it is Android and I've already tried disabling the option for holidays and it doesn't seem to have any effect!?!?

My main issue with MyPhoneExplorer is that some appointments don't seem to sync and other times it flashes up so I can choose to use either the phone entry or the Outlook entry - and they are the same!?!?!

Ideally I just wanted a way to continue using the Exchange server for it, even if it's not going to be wireless!

Just noticed, Chessie too eh? Me to! :D
