Can I take a bag into Anfield tomorrow?

Answers on a postcard.

I want to take a bag with my book/nintendo/shopping and thermos into anfield tomorrow for the match, will there be problems?

I assume they search it but other than that, will it be ok?
 
Don't know about Anfield, but at every ground I've been to if I have a bag or other half a handbag it gets searched, my mums handbag gets searched as well when she comes.
 
Yeh at wembley/emirates it just gets searched, just wondering if there is some ban on bags or something that I don't know about.

I had a flag taken off me at Sunderland :p "It's pointy" was the reason :(

Had a scarf taken off me at St Andrews because it could be used to cause harm to people (read: Suffocate).

Never had issues at Sunderland though, maybe ill try my luck sometime ;)
 
Just to derail the thread: Sunderland stewards are the biggest killjoys since the inquisition though. A minority of season ticket holders were certainly dissatisfied with them last season.
