can i transfer cd's to my ipod nano? and how if i can?

hi, a family member asked me about it and i dont want to tell him it can and when he gets one he finds out i was wrong

can i transfer cd's on to it? i assume there is software that does this for you with the ipod but im not sure?

coud some clarify that i can and if possible tell me how.

iTunes will rip CDs for you... when you enter a CD it will connect to the internet to find the tags, and will rip the CD for you in AAC format. Afterwards, synchronise your ipod with the computer.

Or if you dont use Itunes you can rip them from the cd with windows media player for example then transfer then to your ipod with the program i use is EPHPOD.

Dont rip them with WMP. By default it encodes to protected wma.
Just use iTunes, it easyier.
