Can I transfer my COD4 saves from XP to Vista computer?

I received my new system this morning with Vista Home Premium and installed COD4 right away. However, I was hoping to copy and paste my player folder from my old XP machine but it hasn't worked. Is there any way I can copy over or retrieve my MP profile and rank (up to Lv 48 now) and my single player saves?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles

Just save that, I think. Might wanna wait for someone to confirm

I tried that Frapple but there is no players folder in my COD 4 folder on the new machine. I did the training level to generate a save point but still no player folder. Hopefully others may have some xperience of this. Thanks anyway

Just create one and copy your saves over...

why dont you play through the first level and then have a go on line and see if it has a profile folder then because when i formatted i forgot to save mine and im back at level 15 were i was at lv55 before,

Oh and your vista folder might be

C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles

Due to 32bit emulation =]

Thanks everyone - will try that and let u know what happens

Created a "players" folder and copied over the profile and dsaves - no change
Tried the Mod folder and did same the next time - no change....arghhhhhh
What am I doing wrong?
Is is impossible to copy from an XP installation to a Vista install?
Should there be a players folder when installing on Vista or does Vista put it somewhere else?

On vista 64 you will find your profiles with the following:

C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

I sussed it out. I clicked on a compatability files tab and the players folder was in there. Copied and pasted my saves and profile over, set my gfx options etc and bingo, good as new. Was playing COD4 witha 6800Gt and have just upgraded to 8800GT sli - what a difference. Thanks again everyone for the sugestions.
