Can I upgrade to widescreen!

I haven't built a PC now for around 5 years. I'm currently using an I5 with a GTX670 OC on an old (15years or so) 24 inch Dell monitor (1920x1200) which has served me well.

I am in the middle of completely redoing my gaming room, new desks, painting etc etc and was thinking about replacing this aging Dell monitor for a super widescreen. I don't game very often now apart from a bit of battlefield 2 but I do still enjoy occasional games like COD and battlefield 1.

If i upgrade to widescreen would i be completely wasting my time with the GTX670OC?.. I am thinking of something like this...

what a brilliant comparison site!!.. thankyou hornetstinger. I think based on that i'm leaning towards the 34inch and as Pocah says I'll upgrade graphics if i feel its needed. Appreciate the input from both of you, very helpful
