Can I upgrade W7 RC to RTM?

As per title, can I upgrade my win7 rc 7100 to the final release version whilst still keeping it on my trial key until it expires?

Its on my second pc so don't really want to have to buy another copy until it expires. Reason I'd like to upgrade it though is that some of the rc bugs are still biting.

Also has anyone used the little hack to get around the rtm installer telling you its unable to update from a pre release version? Would be looking to use this so I dont have to go for a fresh install.

Not officically, it's not advisable

Just format, doesn't take long to set things up

I've done an RC to final update via a hack but the laptop I did it on has always felt sluggish so am now thinking of doing a clean install on it soon to see if W7 speeds up a bit.

Likewise, I found a guide somewhere that showed me how to upgrade the RC to retail, it involved a little bit of regedit tweaking but was quite simple. However, it's given me no end of grief with Daemon Tools - the damn thing just won't install properly. Reformat.
